Of course, the witch whose identity she stole isn’t quite as disappeared as Tessa had thought. And she’s brought along a pesky PI who seems to know more about magic than he should.
The icing on the cake? Rebecca, the witch who previously owned the bakery, had more than a few dark secrets—and left behind a very high-maintentance familiar, Creampuff, who insists that Tessa drop her hot cross buns and get to solving Rebecca’s murder.
At first, Tessa thinks that a seventy-eight year old dark witch dying of a heart attack sounds rather mundane. But when someone else drops dead in her shop, she’ll have to race to find the killer before she and her unlikely friends are next.
Can Tessa solve the case? Or will her deepest secret be revealed, sending her on the run again—or worse?
2. Whole Blooded Murder - Who said you can’t hex in public?
Frogs have invaded the toy store. Tractors and lawn mowers are racing each other up and down main street. Vampire baker Tessa and her werewolf business partner and distant lookalike relative Bridget Lively’s ovens are running out the front door.
The magical bakers, their cat Creampuff, and Private Investigator Simon Black are hip deep in trying to get rid of them.
But that’s not the worst of it. When Bridget returns home after a full moon covered in blood with no memory of the night before, they know it can’t be a coincidence. Bad news comes in sets and theirs is completed when café owner Abigail Heartley turns up dead. Mauled by a wolf.
And that makes Bridget the main suspect, bringing the heat of the local wolf pack.
Can Tessa and the increasingly mysterious Simon find the real killer before the wolf pack tries, convicts – and executes – Bridget?
3. Blood Bath and Beyond - When magic, mystique, and murder comes to Midbrook, it can only mean one thing. Fey.
Vampire baker Tessa Lively thought she had secrets, but they’re nothing on Simon Black’s. When he admits he’s fey, they’re both thrown into a maelstrom of mischief.
One fey trick gone wrong, the Seelie Court threatens to banish Simon from the mortal world unless Tessa can find the true killer.
Dealing with sly immortals was definitely not on Tessa’s bucket list. And she does pretty much everything wrong, including making a deal with the Seelie’s enemies, the Unseelie Court.
Now, with the help of talking cat Creampuff and werewolf pal Bridget, Tessa has to make up with the Seelie Court, run a bakery, and solve a murder. Tessa’s an expert in multi-tasking, but even this seems like a bit much.
Can Tessa juggle it all and save Simon before he’s banned forever? Or will the real killer ruin more than one life?
