Overview: Jean G Goodhind is the author of the Honey Driver mystery series which is set in Bath, the city of Jane Austen and Bridgerton. Unlike either of them, Honey is a zany character, the plots are lightweight and blood and gore are kept at a distance. The reality is that the author really did run a haunted hotel in Bath. Unlike Honey Driver she does not collect antique underwear. The humour is flippant and the characters based on those JG met during those frenetic years. During all that time she never came across a murderer, but there were other instances that she wouldn't like to repeat.

11. Marriage is Murder - Wedding bells, wedding gowns . . . and murder!
Honey and her detective fiancé Steve are at a pretty church in an idyllic English village. The air is filled with twittering birds and the sweet scent of flowers. This could be the perfect venue for their upcoming wedding.
But as usual when Honey is around, things are not quite as they seem . . .
Honey and Steve discover the vicar unconscious on the floor. When the vicar finally comes around, she reports seeing a strange woman floating across the village green at twilight, dressed in pure bridal white.
Honey and Steve are unsure what to make of it.
The next day, Steve is back in the village. This time to investigate a murder.
An elderly woman has been found dead — propped up in the front pew of the church, dressed in a lavish wedding gown.
Honey and Steve are about to tackle their strangest case yet.

Honey Driver is reluctant about judging Bath’s best window display. But even she can see that the exquisite highwayman scene in the window of gentleman tailor Pauling and Tern, complete with hangman’s noose, is the outright winner.
Then just hours after accepting his prize, owner Nigel Tern is found hanging dead in his own display. Murdered.
A popular ladies’ man and savvy business owner, there’s no shortage of angry ex-lovers and jealous shopkeepers with a grudge against Nigel — including his own father.
Mr Tern Senior seems to have a solid alibi, but his lack of emotion over his son’s death is puzzling.
But before Honey and her detective fiancé Steve can investigate further, Steve’s daughter announces she’s engaged to her brand-new boyfriend, Andrew.
Honey can’t shake the feeling that Andrew’s not who he says he is . . .
Can Honey figure out the truth behind Andrew, and crack the case of Nigel Tern’s murder?

His body’s been pulled from the mud, down by the train track that twists through the woods. But Honey knows that can’t be right. The Caspar she knew loathed the great outdoors.
She races to Caspar’s place — only to find him alive but outraged to hear that he’s been mistaken for a mud-encrusted corpse.
Dirty dealings are afoot. And Honey must dig deep to get to the bottom of what’s really going on.
Snooping around the tracks, she finds a mysterious bunch of flowers. With a sinister tarot card tucked inside. Is it a message, a warning — or what?
When the dead man’s true identity comes out in the wash, Honey realizes she doesn’t know Caspar quite as well as she thought.
