There's just one tiny hitch—Sage learns that she is a book witch, and since her magic awakes she sees a spirit every time she touches a book. It's a bit much, and when a local businessman strolls in and offers a generous sum for the shop, Sage considers leaving her newfound magic life behind.
Sage's plans hit a snag however when she soon stumbles over a dead body, becoming one of the prime suspects in the case.
With no other choice Sage finds herself thrust into a spellbinding mystery, working with an arrogant and cocky local guardian named Hunter. She just has to dodge danger, unravel secrets, and win the trust of her new town before she becomes the next victim of the mystery murderer.
Can she conquer her fears and embrace a new life of magic before she becomes the latest victim?
