Paws and Poltergeists series by Mara Webb (1-3)
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 1.2 mb
Overview: I write short, sweet and (hopefully) funny paranormal cozy mysteries. I like sassy witches, annoying cats, cute towns and everything magic. When I'm not writing rants from mouthy fictional cats, I am looking after my one year old boy or my husband. (Not sure which one is more difficult to be honest.)
Genre: Fiction > Mystery/Thriller

1. Witching up the Wrong Tree - When an innocent woman is sentenced to community service for a crime she didn’t commit, she expects to spend a few hours picking up trash or cleaning up graffiti…
… instead, she is put into the back of a police car and driven to the town of Silverwood to deal with a community only she can see, the dead kind.
A recent death has the rumor mill churning, and it quickly becomes clear that there is something sinister going on. Her childhood dog, Fluke, has somehow reappeared to help her sniff out clues and when a brick is thrown through the window telling her to back off it is obvious that she needs all the help she can get.
In a dog-eat-dog world there are people willing to do extreme things to get ahead, so when ghosts are hounding her for answers, she’ll have to teach herself, and Fluke, some new tricks to catch the killer.
Magic, murder, and a mighty mutt... it's all waiting in Silverwood.
2. Like a Witch With a Bone - When Celeste’s dog digs up a body in her backyard, it’s clear that she’s about to have a ruff week. With accusations flying her way, she becomes determined to find out who is truly responsible before she gets arrested for something she didn’t do… again.
In an effort to clear her own name she turns to the neighborhood watch, homing in on a sub-group of silver-haired ladies that flinch at the mention of the crime. They don’t want to answer any questions about it, and quickly excuse themselves.
Would she be barking mad to think they had anything to do with the murder? Or will her dogged determination to investigate on her own pay off? The real killer won’t take kindly to the newest nosy neighbor in town, and in a town full of magic she must remember that paws-itively nothing is as it seems.
3. Bite The Witch That Feeds - A mysterious stranger disrupts the calm of Celeste's home, banging on the door relentlessly and sending her barking mad. This enigmatic figure holds secrets about her family, particularly her sister Gemma, who remains tight-lipped in the face of probing questions. The intrigue deepens when the stranger meets an untimely demise in the heart of the town.
A revelation from her ghostly Aunt Sissy propels her towards a dangerous encounter with the town's resident demon, all in the name of quick cash. But does Celeste have a good poker face?
As if navigating supernatural confessions and demonic dealings weren't enough, Celeste's attempt at a relaxing date night with the local chief of police is rudely interrupted. Chaos is unleashed the second a beat-up station wagon rolls into Silverwood and Celeste’s parents step out. Let the fur fly!
