When 16-year- old Marlowe discovers a dead Pilgrim and reads his Book, it sparks a quest like no other – to a city with doctors who are rumored to hold the Cure to the deadly Disease. Against his family’s wishes, he vows to find this city, and, in doing so, save the woman he loves.
With his beloved Shelley at his side, Marlowe enters the dangerous world outside their village. Together they must face nomads, battle the elements, and overcome their own fears for the future, before the Disease claims them both.
