Overview: Originally from Western Sydney, it was at a mature age that Pat Clarke decided to embark on a second career as a writer. She had always loved stories, and as a child had enjoyed the works of Enid Blyton, as well as telling a few originals of her own. Pat has since published four books. Howie the Yowie follows her previous titles A One-Eyed Chook Called Sheila, The Magic Forest of Goonoo and The Flying Lesson.
