Overview: Calvin Locke is the pen name of a published mystery author, video games journalist, and college English professor. He started writing childrens books because he wanted to offer children exciting books that could keep a child's attention while enhancing reading and vocabulary skills. The concept of writing kids books came when his mother had finished reading his four mystery novels. She said she loved them, but that his nieces and nephews couldn't read them because of the subject matter (murder investigation) He decided to write a short story for his nieces and nephews that turned into a book series which has now reached six volumes.
