Overview: Chris Ryan was born near Newcastle in 1961. He joined the SAS in 1984. During his ten years there he was involved in overt and covert operations and was also sniper team commander of the anti-terrorist team. During the Gulf War, Chris Ryan was the only member of an eight-man unit to escape from Iraq, where three colleagues were killed and four captured. It was the longest escape and evasion in the history of the SAS. For this he was awarded the Military Medal. For his last two years he was selecting and training potential recruits for the SAS. He wrote about his experiences in the bestseller The One That Got Away, which was adapted for screen, and since then he has written other works of non-fiction, bestselling novels and a series of childrens' books. He lectures in business motivation and security, and is a consultant for a security organisation.

#1 - Siege

A top-secret government programme needs a crack team of undercover military operators. They must have awesome levels of determination, endurance and fitness. They must be able to think on their feet. #2 - Missing
the cadets are sent to North Korea. A British agent investigating the rogue state's nuclear capabilities has gone missing. The secretive nature of life in Pyongyang means that unfamiliar adults would be attract suspicion and fall under immediate surveillance. So the cadets form part of a young pioneers tour to the North Korean capital. Once there, they must use their skills and training to find out more about the missing agent.In the course of their investigations, they forget the one rule every undercover operator must obey: trust nobody. When a local teenager they befriend betrays his suspicions to the North Korean secret police, the young cadets must use all their skill to escape the authorities and the country. But can they locate the British agent at the same time?
#3 - Justice
Child slavery is rife. Hundreds of young people are being forced into lives of slavery by an international trafficking ring based in the jungles of central Africa. The cadets are tasked to present themselves as bait for the traffickers. Some of them head to Africa. Some stay in the UK. They are to gather hard intel which the authorities can use to nail the perpetrators of this twisted business.
But the bad guys are one step ahead. The cadets lose contact with their handlers and are taken off grid by some of the most brutal criminals in the world. It will take all their skills to get themselves to safety - and to bring the traffickers to justice.
