Sebastian Nympha-Harlem is the Firstborn Legacy, famed son of The Promised Witch, Hella Corvime, and the infamous warlock, Harrow Nympha. Sebastian—Bash—carries the weight of a new species of magic, leading his family—and the world—into a new era of peace with the humans.
The Melorian Academy is the first of its kind, a school in rural Australia designed for humans and magic folk alike. Here they will train together as allies. The Cambions, witches and Legacies will learn to control and harness their powers. Humans will be gifted with the tools to block magic. They were once enemies—wounds from a past war still mending—but now they have come together as a new generation to fight the real enemies.
Angels are breaking out of Heaven, demons eat passersby, and an old enemy, a powerful witch, has a plan brewing in the background as she grows more powerful than ever.
Set twenty-two years after the end of The Promised Witch series, Bash’s new generation takes on the challenges of humans faced with magic, fear and prejudice, and the delicate balance of peace.
2. Legacy of Feathers
Term two at the Melorian Academy. Angels are falling from Heaven. Among them, an archangel named Gabriel. Wings burnt and bloody, Gabe entreats Bash for peace with a scroll signed by many angels. It’s up to Bash to trust him—an angel, forever an enemy—and pave the way, leading the forgiving generation.
The repercussions of term one still ripple out; Bash survived students, invaders, and his first battle with the infamous witch, Jacqueline DeWinter. DeWinter now resides in a cell in The Tower, an island prison. But her nephew, Asher, freely stalks the halls of the academy. Joanna Nympha-Harlem goes magically undercover to steal Asher’s heart, and his family secrets, but will she be too late to stop his plans to take down the Legacies and free his aunt?
An Ouro approaches Bash, a magick like his grandfather, who shares his resented, misunderstood power. But when the Ouro tries to teach Bash to accept a fundamental part of himself, Hella kicks him out of the academy, leaving Bash alone and confused.
Bash’s relationship with his parents is more strained than ever. When he overhears a conversation between them, revealing a magical secret of the circumstances of his birth, it all starts to make sense. Why his mum has always resented her eldest child, her promised Firstborn.
It’s the dawn of a new era. For decades, Bash’s parents strived to be the leaders of peace between magicks and humans, but was it forced? It was out of the human and magick communities’ hands. Resentment begins to rise. Jacqueline DeWinter wants the Legacies off the metaphorical throne, and intends to claim it for herself, by any means necessary.

In the dead of night, Bash leaves behind everyone he loves.
Bash journeys to the home of the Ouros; with his kin, he trains to learn his Twisting powers. He must accept that side of himself, the one his mother has always feared, because a new threat looms on the horizon, unlike any his family has faced before.
Asher’s aunts, Jacqueline and Talisa, are powerful brujas, who plan to take over the Melorian. Jacqueline will stop at nothing to replace The Promised Witch. As foretold, Jacqueline will slaughter her way to her throne, stepping over the dead bodies of her enemies in black high heels to get her golden crown.
