The Stone of Blood by Tony Nalley
Requirements: .ePUB or .MOBI reader, 3.53Mb
Overview: The Stone of Blood centers on an adventurous 12-year-old boy named Toby McAnully. A gifted storyteller, Toby gets his talent from his grandfather, who tells him enchanting stories about ghosts and witchcraft. While Toby's stories touch on his own life experiences, including seeing the ghost of a Confederate soldier, they soon take on a new reality of their own. Along with his cousin Colby, the boys discover a hidden cave in an old abandoned rock quarry known to them as "the werewolf cave." They investigate it, to find not only secret man-made chambers, but also a once Great Hall, with tunnels that lead on for miles in any direction. From Toby's family barn, where the Confederate soldier's spirit was seen, to the secrets of the chambers and the people who built them, the cousins seek out the history of their hometown, finding links to a secret city and untold history. The Stone of Blood is completed as new revelations are unveiled, sheltering a certainty where ghosts are real, werewolves walk, and a witches' spell has bound their world for a lifetime.
