Hi guys,

Need some help!

Few weeks ago I bough a Kindle Wifi Touch - a old version of Kindle. I had a Nook for the past 3 years and I bought books from Barns&Nobles, Google play and got book from this web site.

Prior purchasing the Kindle I did a extensive research whether it would be possible to transfer my book collection to my e-reader. However, after transferring few books I've noticed that the book cover didn't show. Did some more research on various forums and found few tips but didn't work.

I use Calibre to convert the book from epub to mobi format and to transfer the books to my Kindle.

Do you have any tips on how to solve this issue ?

I would be grateful :)

Kind regards,
Kruger

DId you solve it? I had the same issue loading up to my kindle app on my ipad. I figured out if I completely shut off the IPAD then download from PC to kindle. Wait 15 minutes before turning the ipad back on. You then have to sinc, tap on the blank books and voila, books upload and the covers stay on. :)

I sympathize with the cover issue, but in a different way. After owning several Sony and Kobo eReaders I got used to having the cover of the current book displayed when the device was off. When I bought my first kindle I was disappointed to find only a few cheesy pics would show. I personally like the "feel" of the actual book cover showing when the device is off.

Try converting the files to azw3 format. That works for me. I could never figure out the covers for mobi and gave up on that front.

I tried your suggestions and I would like to say it worked but unfortunately it didn't.
Do you have any other suggestions ?

If you do a web search, there are hacks available for the kindle that add this very option (along with many others). They are dangerous to implement, if you mess it up you end up with a paperweight.

I've removed most of the hacks from my kindle, but I've kept the book cover and notepad ones.
