So what alternative is there on the Android-system to find a good app that handles the aforementioned formats? It doesn't matter if It's a free or paid app. Please enlighten and guide me to what there is to offer and what you recommend.

Thanks in advance.

Why not use Calibre to convert them to whatever you need for your reading app? I use Moonreader on my tablet and I love it.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll download Calibre and see what it is and what it can do for me. :)

Dont think you will find one as its an Amazon proprietary format and I would imagine they would be all over any app that offers compatibility on the grounds that it "damages their kindle sales"...

There are several apps in Google Play that supports .azw and .azw3

A few examples are;

FBReader supports .azw
Lirbi Reader supports both
Universal Book Reader supports .azw3

More can be found by simply searching for .azw and .azw3

I wanted one reader only, because I really dislike having several apps just to read a book. I wanted one that takes the all the main formats that I use, but there isn't such a reader so I decided to go with the Calibre alternative and convert the .azw and .azw3 to .epub or .mobi instead.

And I must say that I really like Calibre. How on earth I could have missed that program is beyond my understading. ;)
