My head is spinning with all the info I've looked up so I'm asking for help.

I use a Kindle Paperwhite for "regular" reading and Calibre to view epubs with images, PDFs, and CBR/CBZ comics on my PC. I also have a dedicated comics reader.

However, I find it uncomfortable to read for long at my PC so I'd like to get an ereader that will handle all 4 formats. That's one problem. I also have bad eyesight so a 6" screen to read comics would be impossible for me to even see.

I don't care about apps or internet connectivity or whether it takes photos or any other extra stuff.

Will someone *please* give me some advice or tell me about their experience?

Sorry I can't help. But as far as I know, Kobo can handle all your required format (google: kobo). I don't own one (I use kindle ppw), just see from a friend.

Now I’m awake and you’re here.
Now I’m dreaming and you’re here.

Never nights.

If your eyesight is a factor, dedicated ereaders just don't come with large enough screens. Not all is lost.

You can purchase an android tablet, like the Samsung Tab S3 which you can install apps on so you can read all formats. If 10" of real estate is still too small, you could check out the Galaxy View, which comes in with a whooping 18"+ in a tablet form, but hardly pocket sized :)

I can't re-upload any topics where both links are no longer working. Sorry.

Well, I found a 1st gen iPad with 64Gb for $40 so I got it.

Despite lots of articles about using it as an ereader, I find myself confused about the stupid iTunes browser (why is it necessary?!) and finding ancient reading apps (it didn't come with iBooks) and how to get the books onto the iPad (do I really need Dropbox?).

Insert hole in foot via lead projectile...

Any suggestions and hand-holding appreciated.

OK, I pulled it together and paid $1 for an app that reads PDFs, epubs, and cbr/cbz just fine *and* books are easy to transfer to the iPad.

Netflix works just fine, too. Next project: find an alternative to Plex for iOS. :)

PS - I still hate that stupid iTunes thing.
