Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has had sucess downloading any of the eBooks listed on this site to an Acer Iconia a500? I am looking to purchase one however want to be able to access these mobilism books through an eReader.

If you have sucessfully used these files what reader are you using?

Cheers

hi aimee,
i understand that the acer iconia a500 uses android honeycomb which means that you can download for free the kindle ebook reader app (http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/ ... compatible). this app uses the mobi ebook format so you can download and read any books in this format from the forum. there are other ebook apps available for android e.g. aldiko (http://www.aldiko.com/) but i personally found the kindle app to be the best. don't forget you will also need to download an app for decompressing the zip/rar files which are generally used in the links; you can find a suitable app in the android section of this forum.
good luck and enjoy your iconia.

Mobi format takes more space than the epub. I downloaded the Kobo ereader and converted the pdf, mobi, lit files to epub format and they look as good as mobi on Kindle.

I had the Acer Iconia a500. Gave it to my Father in law a couple of weeks ago after I bought the Iconia w500. There are a bunch of free ereader programs on the android market. I used it to read books from here, but the tablet is quite hefty and you will get tired of holding it pretty fast.
