Kindle ebook updates help?

Some of the ebooks I bought from Amazon have updated editions. The problem is that if I click for the update, it sends it to my Kindle when I actually want to download it and transfer by USB. If I let it send to Kindle, then try to transfer it from my Kindle to Calibre, Calibre says it can't do that.

How do I get the updated edition into Calibre?

I use the kindle app on my pc https://www.amazon.co.uk/kindle-dbs/fd/kcp . I have send to my pc as the delivery option, then once the book has downloaded in the app open the 'My Kindle Content' folder and access it from there.

But if I click the orange "Update available" button, I don't have the option to send to my PC (or, rather, transfer via USB).

I do have an idea though, but I won't be able to try it until later!
