I use Calibre and a number of online sites to convert my books. Never tried pressmo, it seems to be more business and web orientated.
If a link is dead and you don't get a reply from me, please refer it to a Mod. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Calibre's not always to clever at PDF to EPUB, although it works great the other way around.
If you see a link of mine has gone 'down', then feel free to replace the link as I may no longer have the original file.
Bohica told me about MobiPocket Creator Publisher Edition to convert from PDF to Mobi then either Calibre or Sigil -depending on how much "cleanup" is needed- to convert it to .ePUB. The way I understand it, MOBI (Kindle) code does not recognize the page breaks, numbers, headers and footers that are part of the PDF format code and automatically discards it, giving you a page that is supposed to be read with an eReader, not an 8x11 page. And MobiPocket comes with a few very interesting toys.
It's really an awesome conversion. Try it. It's free, you have nothing to lose. OK, a few minutes. Better than the horrible results you get with Calibre.

That's the point. And I could use it exactly for:
- use PDF files and convert them to flip page ebooks,
- use it for making things like they show as an example on their page - e-magazines, also with a flip page effect,
Then I would like to put it online but ... well ebooks for classic sale online and e-mags for using it as online archive. So the clients could pay monthly fee to access the archive with old number of magazines, but not downloading them, just watching online on the webpage.
Do you think it could be usefull for what I need?

There are a number of programs out there that convert PDF files to other formats. Unfortunately, none of them do a perfect job of it (yet?).
Like zackdogg stated above, the best I have found so far is the MobiPocket Creator Publisher Edition, but even it's results usually need some work. Calibre and Sigil are great tools for this!
Until someone actually does come up with a better program, this is what seems to do the best job. Still looking for a better program for this though.
(An interesting note: When you have a 'photo' style PDF (PDF of a picture book or magazine), the MobiPocket Creator Publisher Edition converts the file into individual .jpg pages, instead of another format of the file. Possibly good for your flip-page book' presentations?)

I've always found Calibre does a pretty good job of PDF -> EPUB with the "Heuristic Processing" switched on on the conversion screen.

I use Calibre PDF -> to .ePub, than sigil to clean it up.
Most frustrating thing about that is calibre always interprets the end of a line in a PDF document, to be the end of a paragraph. So Instead of having 3 or 4 paragraphs on each page(as the author intended), i have about 50... And when trying to clean it up, i would use the replace script
Replace: </p>
With: *nothing*
And than it would convert the entire document into a wall of text.
Also, a lot of times it would take the head and footnotes of each page, so every few paragraphs you would see a increasing number, followed by the title or authors name.
Honestly, its gotten to the point where i dont even bother trying. I have tried doing the conversion well over a hundred times. I have only gotten one *perfect* result from it. Other times i has been passable but required a lot of cleaning. Most of the time though, its a complete and utter failure(Best example i can think of is the "I am America" book. Odds are if you find an epub, its from a poorly converted pdf version through calibre. It messes up the book to the point of it being totally unreadable... and a little creepy too[Check out what it does to Colberts face in most of the pictures]).

I have tried Stanza and Calibre.
Although it doesn't convert 100% of pdfs and can crash or be very slow when it does work Calibre outputs the most readable converted text as an epub.
Though I usually find it is simply better to leave the file in pdf form and read it that way to get the best formating - as pdfs can be read on ibooks and goodreader very well.

I've never tried to convert PDF's to ePub because of the possibility of not getting a ToC in return during the conversion on Calibre.
In fact I had an ePub book that I converted to mobi that ended up becoming 2 books in 1.

I never tried that.
As you asked converting PDF to ebook, maybe the tools like Codebox, Issuu and flipbook maker(http://bit.ly/ymDrhl ) are good free tools for turning pdf to page flipping ebooks.
