So I downloaded a book and then "casually" ran it through a DRM stripping program so I could upload it here BUT when running it through Calibre to get the metadata and convert it to an additional format I viewed it in the reader it was a jumbled up and there was NOTHING readable about it. There was no text in the good spots like the chapters. Just in the copyright portion

This is weird because the other books I've uploaded here haven't had this issue and I use Requiem 3.3.5, I also stripped a book at the same time and it turned out just fine. Hmmm, could publishers be wising up to us now?

Have you tried that with any other books since, or was it just the one?

So far I haven't had any problems with my DRM stripper/s - I DRM strip all the books I buy - which is a lot, often, just for my own use. It would be quite interesting if the DO start making books garbage when the DRM is removed!!

Are you using itunes 10.6 ? Requiem 3.3.5 only works with itunes 10.5 or older.

10.6.1 whatever is the latest version. If you need proof just look at my latest upload which turned out just fine.

10.6.1 whatever is the latest version. If you need proof just look at my latest upload which turned out just fine.

Revert back to 10.5. and try a book that didn't work. I can only tell you what i've heard, some books will work with 10.6, others won't. But ALL will work with itunes 10.5.

Honestly, it's just one book so I'm not too worried about it. I just won't upload it here on site I guess.

I had someone say something about a book not working, that it was DRM protected. I d/l'ed it and opened the ePUB without a problem on Stanza, iBook, Adobe Digital and Calibre. The one that wouldn't work was the MOBI. I tried it with Kindle (DRM protected) on MobiReader (you need the latest version of Mobi to open this) and Calibre (DRM protected)

I knew that it wasn't DRM'ed because the ePUB worked, so I ran it thru Calibre, reconverted to MOBI and it worked OK.

Try it, worse that can happen is that it won't work. I bought a few books from Amazon and Barnes and Noble this week and haven't had any problems so far.

Well, be as it that I am indisposed for the next week, it will have to wait. I've ran nearly 100 books, a handful of songs, and movies through Requiem so one book isn't going to be a deal breaker.

It's not readily available. I used a torrent which I pmed you a link to use.
