Hello Everyone,

I happened to go through the lists of books and find quite a lot of dead links pertaining to Megaupload, Filesonic, Mediafire and others, I wonder why the posters to these servers have not yet uploaded to other still available hosts. I tried to PM for some of them but cannot even find the PM button under the posts. Is there any way to find a solution to this problem? I know that it's up to each poster to check his of her links but I guess once posted then forgotten.

You can click on "profile" right next to "pm" om the bottom left of any topic post form and see when the uploader was last around. Also, if you check under the user's name on the top left of the post you'll find out if the user is banned from the site.

If the user has been around (within 8 or so weeks) PM the uploader directly to request a new link. If the uploader hasn't been around for 8 or more weeks or if it's been banned, then go ahead and submit a post to the topic asking for a mirror link, just like you did here.

Mind you, you have to be logged on to be able to do any of the things I listed.

Now, if you find a release that meets any of the criteria I mentioned and if you have the book and would like to release it yourself, PM any of the eBook Moderators so that we can send the book to the "Expired eBooks Release" bin to make room for yours.
