I used to convert it too . There are free online converter sites for that . Then I tried the firefox add-on . But it wasn't quite as comfortable as reading a pdf in a pdf reader . So I downloaded the Adobe Digital Editions . It's free and you can read both pdf and epub in it .

I don't really like epub . It isn't as comfortable to read as pdf . Not as easy to make or edit one either .

The reader from calibre, but I only use it to see if the books are in a proper format, 'cause some converted epubs have horrible layouts.

I use FBReader. It's free and does the job when I need to open an epub on my laptop, but honestly I put everything on my tablet to actually read it.

Adobe Digital Editions because I hate waiting 30 seconds for Calibre to load up then having to hunt the file down. Call me lazy. And the reader is a bit better, I think. Not that any of you care about what I think.
