I had one of the original sony e-readers and liked it, but it was a little slow. I moved on to a kindle 4 e-ink, which is very good, then bought a galaxy tablet, but for whatever reason I found I preffered the kindle and went back to that. I like the e-ink display. I havn't tried the paperwhite kindles, but since what i have is more than adequate for my needs i probably won't anytime soon. So i guess it just comes down preference.

I also use my Nexus 7 1st.Gen, and I love it. I don't use it exclusively for reading. It is great for both reading and surfing. Just the right size.

Someone gave me an ASUS Nexus 7, 1st gen, but I've done nothing with it yet as I'm loath to learn a new OS. What book reading app(s) do you use on it? Any recommendation on a "get to know android" book? Thanks.

try mantano ebook reader (free version), if you really like it then you can buy the pro version from the playstore. I also install nook reader app

I've got an old fashioned Kindle (the one with a keyboard), its done me very well over the last 4+ years - great battery life too.

My husband has a fake sony e-reader - its back lit, light to hold. easy to find the books, but only downside is the battery life - has to be recharged after about 2 1/2 hours reading (though it charges in about 30 minutes).

I read alot, so the Kindle is great for me, but I am thinking of replacing my husband's e-reader. Cost is a big consideration (i'm in uk), any advice appreciated.

Do you mean ebook files like .mobi or .azw?

I've used the Kindle App on my Android tablet, on my Android phone, on my PC, and on a Kindle Keyboard. All of them are readable, but I prefer and have returned to the Kindle Keyboard for it's portability (lightweight and readable in almost any light) and long battery life.

I have a Nook HD+ with Cyanogenmod v11 to update it to Android Kit-Kat. I've used the Kindle app on it and it works great for free ebooks I got on amazon and through the library overdrive system on rental. Often times I prefer using Moon+ Reader Pro because it is very customize-able in its options. They have a Free version which is very use-able on the play store and then a paid version that has no ads and full access to options. Worth checking out!

Hi! folks,

I am facing a little trouble in my decision to purchase an e-reader. I have read all the above posts however, seeing that have been made quite some time ago, I thought of posting my doubts. Can someone kindly help me about the following few points:

1. Which e-reader is the best choice if one wants to read books only in PDF format?

2. Which e-reader is the best to read Colored books/Magazines/Comics in them?

Thank-you. :)
