I've found a few books I'm looking for at the Open Library (part of the Internet Archive,) and I saw that the books are 'returned' automatically after two weeks. Does anyone know how to keep those books, or share them (say, with other Mobilism readers?)

I'd try Epubor. http://www.epubor.com/drm-removal-tools.html

I had success removing DRM on an epub I got from there, but the software only works for so long before you have to buy it.

If you don't want to buy it, it looks easy enough to find cracked versions online. I'd share links, but I'm new here and not sure the rules on posting links to that sort of stuff. :)

Edit: Actually, ignore all that. I just found a plugin for Calibre that handles this. You'll want the Inept Epub DeDRM plugin. I just shared an Open Library borrowed book out of my Calibre Library with my wife and she had no issues opening it.

Hello!
I am wondering if I can save a PDF of a scanned book from Open Library. I only have the option of reading it online. Is there any way/a guide to save the book as a (obviously) PDF file?

Please send me a private message if my links are down and I will try to fix them as soon as possible. Thanks.

Install Calibre and the Apprentice Alf DeDRM plugin. Download the book into Adobe Digital Editions, then copy it from your ADE folder to Calibre. Job done.

agree with others to use calibre and Apprentice Alf. after i copy the book to another folder from Adobe Digital Editions, i use the fore mentioned. once i convert, i go into ADE and return book. that way i only have i for a day or two and it will be available for someone else.
