Hello. I was wondering if anyone knew of a program/site that did ebook conversions better than calibre. It's pretty good but sometimes if the epub is not retail or its a pdf the mobi output is all messed up and it's a pain in the a$$ to read. I've been hunting around for a while but can't seem to find any.

I know what you mean about pdf. conversions. I always seem to end up with the title and author's name showing up right in the middle of a paragraph. I hope you find one...

I have the same problem with some of the e-books I download. I've seen the letter "L" disappear quite a number of times, and there are times when the words are jumbled. I tried asking friends who use Calibre (and sell e-books online) on how they convert the books, but they wouldn't share their secrets -_- Could be very frustrating.

This might not actually be doing anything special, but i find I have better luck converting first to epub, then to mobi
