How long should a Kindle Keyboard battery last? I ask this because I charged up the battery fully last night, read a bit before bedtime, and now it's down at almost empty again.

I did a bit of searching on the internet and found instructions about doing a search to see if anything was still indexing. I've found a number of items. What does this mean? If I click on the titles all they do is grey out.

My Kindle is almost 3 years old. Any ideas?

The same thing happened to me a couple times... Remove the items that are not indexed and re download them-that worked for me

Having WiFi/3G on also drains battery.

I am well aware that WiFi/3G drains the battery. I wouldn't be asking if this was the reason as that would be rather stupid of me.

However, I did find that the problem lay in the indexing, which was going on behind the scenes while I was unaware of it. I deleted the books, re-added them and the problem has been solved.

You'd be surprised just how many people who aren't as well-informed as you. I never assume that people know things so "apologies" if you think I might have thought you stupid.
