I just read the book by Rachel Vincent entitled The Stars Never Rise. I really really loved it The story blew me away. Unfortunately, book 2 will be released not that soon. Do any of you can recommend similar books? I dont like werewolves or vampires unles its very very very good. Im interested in zombies, demons, light alien stories, angels.

Other paranormal books that I like: lunar chronicles, lux series, red hill / among monsters, guardian trilogy, apocalypse chronicles, penryn and the end of days series, red queen.

Have you tried Dark Hunter series from Sherrilyn Kenyon?? If not then it is a good place as any to start!!
I have read most of her books and find them an engaging read.
