Heya,
I'm looking for books in the Romance genre having characters with a sharp tongue, a sarcastic humour, witty banter/flirting or a quick repartee always at the ready. :)

Some books that I loved in this genre (from different sub-genres) were:

Wallbanger by Alice Klayton
Bridgertons Series by Julia Quinn
The Immortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare
Many of Tessa Bailey's books

Currently Reading: Grin & Beard It (I'm loving it so far!)

Please recommend more of these?
Thanks in advance :D

P.S.: Standalones, only!

You're reading Grin and Beard it by Penny Reid? Try her Knitting in the City series! Also her colab with LH Cosway(?) about Irish Rugby players.

Wallbanger is one of my favorites as well ;)

Jewel E Ann's books have sassy heroines. Try 'Undeniably You' and 'One' for starters.

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to share this new find with you... PS I Like You by Kasie West. It's not exactly of this genre, but it has some hot dialogue exchange due to the hating-to-dating relationship. I just love the story... the anonymous pen-pal trope and the she-hates-him-but-he's-always-loved-her trope! Admittedly, being a high-school story, it's more on the swoony side but it's very cute and has a very relatable fantasy of meeting soul-mates through similar playlists! Do read it. :) And share your reviews if you already have.

PS : Thanks for the suggestions, everyone :)
I loved Jewel E Ann's One too! And Susan E Philips is just awesome!
I loved the first few Black Dagger heroes, but the dialogues were a little too intense.

Romance: Fly By Night series by Galenorn, Yasmine Although I imagine her entire otherworld series is like this too.

Non romance: The Dresden Files. If you're looking for a gateway into non romance fantasy, this is a great choice. Harry Dresden is hilarious!
