I've read everything Sue Grafton wrote, read everything from Michael Connelly, and wanted to know that other authors have this dry, elegant style of writing thrillers.
I tried James Burke but it is very flowery sophisticated for my little English.

Does anyone have a suggestion of what I could read?

Many thanks, gabriel

Try Daniel Silva's Allon series. Also James Rollins has many great stand alone and series novels. John Connolly's Parker series is my favorite, especially The Black Angel.

Huge fan of F. Paul Wilson's Repairman Jack series

It has a little supernatural in it, especially in the later books.

It's one of my all time favorite series.
