Hi there
Yes, what I'm asking for is too broad, and it's better to narrow it down (to one genre), but I wanted a variety of books to choose from.
I know one shouldn't categorize books into high and low culture, as they used to do it back in the day, but I'd prefer literary books which have something to offer, something more than mere escape.
Existential/nihilist/pessimist novellas preferred :))

Thanks a bunch.

How about Hugh Howey's Wool series? Each part could be considered a novella, I think.

Thanks a lot.
Unfortunately, I don't like reading book series. The last ones I read were Agatha Christie's Poirot, and Conan Doyle's Holmes.

More suggestions please?
