Hello everyone could use some advice on something to read.

Science fiction is my bread and butter, Fantasy would be next in line.

To give you a idea on what i enjoy ill list some books here that i have already read a few dozen times lol.
My top 3 series i have read more then a few times are
Robert Jordan's wheel of time series
Terry goodkind's Sword of Truth series (love the books hated the TV show)
David Webber's Honor Harrington series

Not in any order. And this is a insanely small list of books i have read.
The Belgariad series
All of David webbers books
Everything Robert Heinlein has ever written
everything Orson Scott Card has written
The Forever War (Joe Haldman)
almost everything eric flint has written
Robert Jordan's Wheel of time series
Armor (John Steakly)
A few of David drakes books.

I prefer multi book series(but i will read just about anything). Main reason is i can go through a 1000 page book in a day. (on average i read a book a day, sometimes two depending on page count). To be honest I have read so many books it is getting harder and harder to find something new to read.

So any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've enjoyed the books by these authors.

Jim Butcher: Codex Alera (fantasy), Dresden Files (urban fantasy)
Stephen Donaldson : Thomas Covenant (fantasy)
Anne Bishop: Black Jewels (fantasy)
Patricia Briggs: Mercy Thompson (urban fantasy), Alpha and Omega (urban fantasy)
Mercedes Lackey: Valdemar (fantasy)
Sharon Shinn: Twelve Houses (fantasy)
CS Friedman: Coldfire (Fantasy)
Tanya Huff: Victoria Nelson (urban fantasy), Confederation (science fiction)
Anne McCaffrey: Dragonriders Of Pern (fantasy), Harper Hall (fantasy), Renegades Of Pern (fantasy), Catteni (science fiction)
Anne MacCaffrey passed away last year and her son, Todd MacCaffrey has continued to write the Dragonriders books. However, I find his writing much less compelling.
Marion Zimmer Bradley : Darkover (fantasy)

George RR Martin : Song Of Ice And Fire (fantasy)
I've not yet read Martin's work but I've read and heard rave reviews of this series. The only complaint is he takes several years to write each follow-on book.

I would also like to 2nd the recommendation on Mercedes Lackey. I have read at least 90% of what she has written and I don't think I was ever disappointed. The one good thing for you I think is that her Heralds of Valdemar series has several trilogies in it that can stand on their own or as part of the whole and always be enjoyable.

To give you some background on myself I have also read Terry Goodkind, Robert Jordan and David Eddings and have loved them all. In fact it was David Eddings book Castle of Wizardry that got me started on reading for pleasure. I had been playing an SNES game called Wizardry Heart of the Maelstrom when I saw it. I had tried The Hobbit when I was quite a bit younger but sadly was to young at the time to enjoy it.

Piers Anthony - Incarnations of Immortality series 8 books. Also his Apprentice Adept series is quite a good read as well 7 books in it.

LE Modesitt Jr. - Spell Song and Recluce series.

Check out Mark Anthony's series The Last Rune, which is 6 books long. I found them to be exceptional.

Try Trudi Canavans books specially The Black Magician trilogy. She writes great fantasy. Also you can try the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews but that's urban fantasy.
