Greetings all. My english is not so good because it isn't my native language. I like to read books on english I hope that on this way i can increase my knowledge. I Want to read some sorts of sci-fi space opera with focuss on space warfare and politics, I mean on factions ect.

I do not like a books or series in which mankind are in war with alliens, I try to find something like Jack Campbell genesis and lost fleet series.

Also if any know of book series in which colonies try to get independency from earth through any conflict it will be good.

I didn't read the books myself, but Christopher G. Nuttall has sci-fi space-opera series with lots of warfare and politics. Aliens may or may not be present (depends on the series).

Try Jack McDevitt, Neal Asher and E. E. "Doc" Smith's 7 volume Lensman series.

David Weber's Honorverse series which is a mixture of politics and space opera.
