I wondered if anyone know of any good mystery or thriller titles that is from Germany but available translated in English?

A separate question: Is there any good Mystery or Thriller novels that is set in East Germany or Eastern Bloc (Czechloslovakia, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Bulgaria etc) in English?
Prefer anything other than spy and espionage novels since that is another genre on it's own.
