I'm looking for books about pirates! I was talking a friend of mine the other day about pirates and I realised I have never read any books with pirates in it except for Peter Pan and I don't even know of any.

What sort are you looking for ? Fiction? non fiction?

Fiction
Treasure island by Robert Louis Stevenson is a must read.. I am surprised you haven't read it.

non fiction
Blackbeard America's Most Notorious Pirate by Angus Konstam

historical maritime classic
Master and Commander series by Patrick O'Brian

Hope this helps ..

If you want a decent piratical fiction book (involving voodoo and stuff) you cannot go wrong with 'On Stranger Tides' by Time Powers - do not let the awful PotC Disney movie of the same title put you off!

If you want historical stuff, read 'Empire of Blue Water' by Stephan Talty. Its a biography of Henry Morgan...far more active and entertaining than Blackbeard's story...some of the stunts Morgan pulled are almost unbelievable...
