Hmmm as I see it you want a rather long epic fantasy series...
Here are some suggestions :
* Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson
http://www.goodreads.com/series/49674-malazanMust read. Probably my favorite. It has a sequel/side story series by a different author, which isn't quite as good and a couple of short stories. Great world building, and unforgettable characters. It is hard to get into, especially in the first book which is the weakest in the series, Erikson doesn't take the reader's hand, but throws you right in the thick of things without any explanation... You have to make the effort to figure what's going on, but it's well worth it.
* The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson
http://www.goodreads.com/series/49075-the-stormlight-archiveThe next big thing in fantasy IMHO. By the author who finished the Wheel of Time.
* Sword of Shadows by J.V. Jones
http://www.goodreads.com/series/40615-sword-of-shadows* Crown of Stars by Kate Elliott
http://www.goodreads.com/series/43697-crown-of-stars* The Runelords by David Farland
http://www.goodreads.com/series/41322-the-runelords* The Second Apocalypse by R. Scott Bakker
https://www.goodreads.com/series/83561-the-second-apocalypseI think these are the best fit for what you want, in world building, length, and themes.
The following are other suggestions that you might like as well but I think not as similar :
* The Traveler's Gate Trilogy by Will Wight
https://www.goodreads.com/series/108461-the-traveler-s-gate-trilogyIn a way very similar to WoT but with many fantasy cliches subverted. The protagonist is only a companion of the prophetised savior that will save the world against the big bad. He has nothing going for him, no hidden magic powers, no charisma, not even confidence in his righteousness. Not on the level of big names in fantasy but still very refreshing.
* Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn by Tad Williams
