Hey guys, I am looking for books that are disturbing. I have googled a ton of lists but I have read a lot of them.

Some examples of books I read and liked are; American Psycho, Cows by Matthew Stokoe, the End of Alice, all of Gillian Flynn's novels, The Room and Requiem for a Dream, both of Carol Topolski's novels and all of William S Burrough's novels.

Extremely disturbing reads.

Rant by Chuck Palahniuk is pretty disturbing. Such a good read!

Off the top of my head: Dennis Cooper's novels.

Oh, I just thought of another one: The Death of Bunny Munro by Nick Cave. Pretty disturbing, i'd say. Always in a good way, of course

'I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream' and 'Let the Right One In' (previously mentioned) were definitely weird and distorubing

'This Book is Full of Spiders' by David Wong gave me the heebie-jeebies in a way the first one ('John Dies at the End') didn't. 'NOS4A2' by Joe Hill got pretty disturbing, too.

How disturbing? Like creepy disturbing or eew disturbing? Gruesome gore or dark romance weirdness?

Lolita, the book is pretty disturbing.

dark eden by chris beckett. sci fi incest and inbreeding what could be creepier. real good read and an original premise for a change.

Pimp: The Story of My Life by Iceberg Slim

This book forever changed my reading of the word entasis. Disturbing, indeed.

"The Incarnations" by Susan Barker. It's just a whole load of messed up, from start to finish.
