So I'm running out of good books, and I'd appreciate some suggestions. What I like are comics with good plot, in the real world (minimum fantasy/sci-fi/superpowers/etc.) and are nice and gritty, with unconventional moralities and characters. Thanks for any suggestions.

100 Bullets- Brian Azzarello (No powers to speak of except people can ******* kill with skill---it's a good series. Don't let my cheesy tagline dissuade you)

The Boys- Garth Ennis (Probably too gonzo for you given your parameters but thought I'd throw it out there)

Y The Last Man is my personal all time favorite. But you put some pretty strict criteria down, so I'm not sure if it fits

Boxers & Saints by Gene Luen Yang

It has elements of magic realism, but it has a really interesting discusion about who and what is bad or good in a conflict, and a morally complicated hero.
