I love this type of book, where a shy wallflower gets a hot man! Most of the heroines are young, rich, breathtaking beautiful, simply perfect... (boring!!!!). There is something encouraging and refreshing when you read about a normal woman (or almost normal ...) and identify with her.
I like for example Linng Young (she is not very popular author but still interesting), Lauran Dohner has many of this type of books, Lisa Kleypas, Kristen Ashley.... What is your favourite book or author? ... any recommendation..?

Mackenzie's Mountain

Ruth Ann Nordin
Eye of the Beholder
To Have and to Hold
(follow up to Eye of the Beholder - 6 years later)
Bride of Second Chances

Pamela Morsi
Courting Miss Hattie

Odette C. Bell
A Plain Jane (Set in the future, has aliens)

J.R. Ward
Lover Eternal (She's a cancer survivor and also very plain, he's super super sexy and crazy about her)

You could also try Kylie Scott's series:
- Stage Dive is a 4 books series: Lick, Play, Lead & Deep
- Dive Bar (spin-off of the latter) has 1 book out: Dirty. 2nd book: Twist should be out in November 2016.

She also has a series set during a zombie apocalypse: Flesh (with 2 novels and a novella). But it's kind of unfinished for now...
