I read all 3 books in a few days & was disappointed tbh after all the hype about them.

The writing is not that great, it's very tame BDSM (wouldn't even say it was really) & there isn't any "rude" language as such (words like, sex & ass is about as raunchy as it gets).

The writer repeats a LOT of particular words & phrases which can become annoying & is a pet hate of mine.

But after all that, if you can get passed that or that's your kind of thing then it's an ok, easy reading trilogy to pass some time.

Bit like watching a Chick Flick.

Just finished read the 3rd book...i enjoyed the up and down emotion between the hero and heroin. Over all, i love it..it's not just about the sex (though i think it's too much), it's about the whole aspect of the story which i found touching....:)

I read the trilogy in a few days..i couldnt stop reading them. and then since that...i've started reading other more racier BDSM stuff....you should check out Shayla Black or Cherise Sinclair if you want some good BDSM books.

I've managed to upload the Club Shadowlands series by Cherise Sinclair if anyone needs the links.

I started the first one but didn't complete it. I usually don't like books written in the first person and to read one it has to be an exceptional book which book I isn't

Check out "Bared to You" by Sylvia Day. Very similar to 50 Shades of Gray, but much better grammar, plot, and characters.

And I enjoyed 50 Shades ... but Bared to You is better.

I did start reading it but got bored with it. it was very similar to 50 shades but I didn't feel it was as good because I liked the character Christian Grey better, in that there was more humour etc

I've picked up lots of Cherise Sinclair books..which are wonderful...also Megan Hart is a good read... "Dirty" and "tempted" are the ones ive read so far.

save yourself ...... don t read it !!!!!!!

bad and unbelievable scenes; mediocre writing; and unbelievible stupid . this book gives the impression that it was written by a 14 year old girl with kinky fantasies !!!!! there are better books out there that are worth it ; so don t feel bad about not being able to read cause you may not know it but you just dodged a bullet or at least the pain of it ,

i suppose everyone is different about what they like to read it wouldn't do for us all to like the same things. The author has made a staggering estimated 6.5 million pounds sterling so far from her book series so maybe while the literary content isn't in the realms of War and Peace or any other considered master piece, she's done okay.

If you like reading erotica and want to read a bit about kinky *uckery then give it a go.

I started with 50 Shades aka FSoG, but in march. Stayed up for 4 nights and got through the trilogy. Next book was bared to you, but since I hadn't done my research, I was in shock and had withdrawals when I realized the book is incomplete. Yes, I am a little OCD. New one comes out Oct 2nd I think.

Anyways, since those two titles I have entered into a reading frenzy. BDSM is cool, but I like it in small doses. After reading about 50-60 books, all romance, erotica, angsty, bdsm types, I realized FSoG was not very well written at all. There's so much better out there. But it's release caused a phenomenon and I have ridden it so far. There are people who hate it and some who love it. To each their own... No I didn't run out and buy floggers, spreaders and handcuffs, but it sure makes for interesting chatter with the girls.
