I rarely ever stop reading a book, but I had to with this one. The writing and the overuse of jeez, omg, wow, etc was really annoying. I had trouble believing that she was in her 20s.

Well given that they are modified Twilight fan-fic.....

Have avoided reading these books as they're of no interst to me. Reading some of the review (here and published) I'll be adding them to my "Not Worth My Time" pile.

But for folks who like it? Good on ya!

I sounded like that when I was young (in my 20s) and immature. But I know what you mean.

Kristen Ashley... REALLY good. she writes... so completely. i did get stuck on one of her books but i plan to swing around and finish it. im reading the vampire series now even tho i dont like vampires.. stuff.. (yes i hate twilight with a passion - but not because of the vamps i hate it because the main character sucks) i heard the new ones in that seires was GOOD like REALLy good so im gonna have to read the first one that wasnt so good just to read the next one that was...

in the black dagger series .. the way they talk in it really turn me off after awhile.. it was never "hip" it mostly read like trying to hard

if your speaking fifty shades type books id say .. Bared to you .. is prolly where u want to go.. it's more about power exchange then about beatings tho lol

I heard the rumor that it was actually just porn disguised as fiction, is this correct?

nope. if you take some of the concepts inside the book that is not given importance like what is safe sex? reproductive health? and the main issue for Christian Grey childhood trauma.

A lot of parodies of the Fifty Shades Trilogy were released. Some of them are Fifty Shades of Alice Trilogy, Fifty Shades of Silver, Fifty Shames of Earl Grey by Fanny Merkin. I was howling with laughter with the last one. Try to read some of them. :D

I've read the series and found it quite good. I'm not much into BDSM, but that's only one aspect of the story. I liked the Fifty Shades Freed best. I'm looking forward to the movie and hope they make all 3 of them.

To each their own. My mother read them and liked them. I have zero intention of ever reading them because I hear they are terribly written and are a completely inaccurate depiction of a bdsm relationship. I also have no plans to read the Twilight series while my mother loved those. We don't overlap much on our reading picks lol.
