I love Erotica and I am a woman. I would love to know what kind of Erotica men would like and how it would differ from those Erotica that women love.

I agree. I love (good) erotica. But the differens in the sexes are so intresting. What appeals to guys? I have no problem telling what I like in the erotica genre:
* HOT sex
* The description of the feeling during the act (and out of the bed for the stories quality)
* Realistic scense
The type of sex (vanilla, bdsm, threesomes...) doesn´t matter unless it´s to kinky.

I talked to a male friend of mine, and he clearly didn´t even bother to open the fifty shade trilogy. To female in language/story for him to enjoy. So I think there is (in general) a big differens in how men and woman want the erotica to be presented in text.

I agree 100% Men would want the menage to be 2 women and probly the women to be more dominant, more focus on the males pleasure (even though that is pretty much guaranteed) the girl dressing up, dancing etc.

I've spoken to some men who read erotica.
It does have the reputation for being more feminine, especially in conservative areas where men are supposed to like video erotica (and feel vaguely ashamed at the same time). And I don't think 50 shades is a good example. There were some horrible editorial errors , and most experienced readers labelled them "Boring" within 20 pages or so.
And although a good portion of menage erotica seems to be focused "on the penis" as a friend would say, there are plenty of straight men who like lesbian P*rn, and many bi men who want to read about both partners getting laid. Not to mention gay men who want menage without women.
I think it would be interesting to do a survey of what gender people are, and what erotica types they like to read. And anonymously track correlations.

Let me add my point of view, from a specimen of the male species, to this survey. Keep in mind I am just one man and I am speaking for myself and not for my gender. Therefore I will use “I” instead of: “we men” in my response
I read a lot, two to three books per week, and prefer Science Fiction/Fantasy and on occasion a Mystery/Thriller. In general I have no problems with romance or some erotica in a book if it helps spicing up the story. It ends for me where the romance or the erotica becomes the story. It also has to be a logical part of the story (too much sex is added just to make the book sell better).
In general I find written erotica a bit boring. There are just not that many ways to describe sex on paper. After a while it becomes repetitive and I tend to skip those scenes to the point where the story continues. When it comes to erotica I want to see it, not read about it ( I know, very typical of the male species)
What I do like when there is some description of sex:
- A logical buildup to the point where the act starts
- The description of the feeling during the act
- Not too rough! (I am not into pain)
- No MM! All other combinations are welcome. Sorry girls, in my fantasy two girls together look a lot better than two guys together
(there is the visual aspect again)
In my experience female authors tend to add a lot more erotica in their novels that also seems to be a lot more explicit then I find in books from male authors. Anyone has some ideas why?

I´m not sure if I understand what you mean by explicit. The dictionary sais defensiv, distinct, expressed. For me the dictionary is presenting opposits. But I´ll guess that you mean explicit like clear/distinct.
If we are to talk generally about the sexes, I feel that the genreal opinion about sextalk and female/male are very off balance. It´s said that guys talk alot about sex, and that woman don´t. But most men would get to some point of akwardnes/embaressment if they are to hear female sextalk. We don´t say we "did" that person, end of story. We share DETAILS. Positions, cocksize (smal, thin, thick, long... but not by cm), technic... The most importent isn´t the size, it´s how he can use it and how good he is on giving that woman what she wants/needs (which is different from person to person).
A big differens for me between female/male authors it that the female ones (ofc) know this and whrite to appeal woman. For me, the erotica becomes some sort of substitute for the poor movie range that´s in my taste.
If I´m to compare porn (erotic movie?) and the erotic reading, I truly prefer the written one. I can really enjoy amateur porn movies, but the good ones are hard to find. I´m alot more picky on the movies than I´m in erotic books. In the movies I have to see all the things they do together, and the scenes must compell to my taste. In books I enjoy reading about their feelings. There it doesn´t matter if it´s MM, FF, gangbang, bdsm, other kink... as long as all the participants is doing what sets them off and those parts are well written.
Did I manage to answer your question from my perspective?

Forgot my question about this "statement". How mush logical builtup is there in a porn movie (or you mean some other type of movie when you refer to see?)
But I do agree that there isn´t to many ways to describe sex on paper and it do get repetitive after a while. Just like everything else related to fiction/fantasy erotica. There isn´t that many ways of showing sex on film either
