If I could find certain books even in pdfs that are scanned but still readable I would go all cyber. My grandmother's Judy Bolton, Jean Craig, Kim Aldrich, her Bernard Glemser, and The CLiffs of Night, and Christina Noble Goven and EMily West's Lookout /Cherokee books are all irreplaceable though so far. I have been slowly getting them all again as I find them in regular book formats but would still love to find cyber versions

I just have a general question... sometimes I'm hesitant to ask on the main boards. Why are there bump limits? I've never actually requested a book but I've always wondered.

I've wondered the same thing too , I've requested before and the waiting game is the hardest. if it was up to me I'd bump constantly, I think that's what they avoiding.

Well,as I see it it's simply logical to have a bump limit...imagine if some book just got published, and than you put a request for it,only to see that after five minutes it's already on page 15,because of all the bumped posts that are older. How could someone who has a book you requested even see it among all those posts who get constantly bumped? Than, for their post to be seen, all the requesters would just bump and bump and bump...it would be a total mess really.

A mod should answer this, but....
I'm going to guess one reason the bump limit is to stop the board being overwhelmed with continuous bump post. That would get a bit annoying. ;)
I check the last few pages daily to see if I've gotten something that can now fulfill a request.

Yep, that's a better reason. Well said.

So it's 02/02...we all know what that means - Captive Prince #3 is being released in a couple of hours...and the waiting begins...has someone preordered this one maybe?

Maybe the trojan-killer will be generous and post it...hopefully.
