it is almost time for another one of my letters!!!!
i don't understand one thing--when people don't check the posts to see if it has been posted-why do people continue to provide the links? they are being rewarded for not checking the posts! why should they check-if everyone is going to keep giving it to them. i think if you find a request that has posted links to it-you should just delete it-everyone just delete it-maybe if enough of their requests went unanswered-they MIGHT learn-or instead of deleting it-everyone would just write 'check the posts' and do nothing else-don't provide a link, don't share a book with them-just put 'check the posts first' it might solve something. and some of the people who do this have been members for years-and you can't tell me they don't know. they just don't care.
i guess the reason it just p!$$e$ me off so much is because it shows such disrespect-for the group, the website, and to the people who post.....and that really upsets me-more than it makes me angry-it upsets me. when someone is good enough to give you so much-is it really asking too much of you to just do your share? to take those few minutes and check? what makes them so special? it is a waste of resources and other peoples time-and that is where the disrespect comes in.
sorry-just needed to blow off some steam. do you know this has happened more than 5 times in 2 days? that is ridiculous!
i will stop my rant here. i wish other people would stand up to these people who are abusing our group-and they are. but it can't just be me who stands up and says something. and as long as people continue to provide the links for people who do it-it won't change.

I have just seen this now and I have to agree. I even noticed this as a newish member. it has gotten to the stage where I see someone's name I just scroll past. sorry but it is very annoying. it only takes a few taps to check.
