Hi,
I know it is a vast search, because I read this book few years ago. But I suddenly want to read it again for Christmas break, because I loved it
The story is between a city boy (a designer in LA, I guess), and it was at some event of his female friend, where he got to meet her straight cowboy brother (please let my memories be correct), and after that he follows the cowboy to live in this ranch. People accept him as the cowboy's "wife".
I don't remember much (sorry), but there is one scene I remember fairly, where the cowboy was out of town, and the city boy represents him (and their branch) at a rodeo event, where he wore a tight trousers, because he was not afraid who he was in the center of cowboy's community. And then some guys tried to make trouble with him, and then his cowboy came back just in time to fight them off, and then their conversation was like:
- Cowboy: (smiling and call cityboy's name) Did you see how I punch that guy ...
- Cityboy: (calling cowboy's name) But we don't go around to punch people faces
- Cowboy: so they better not to cause trouble with my family
A second scene I remember (I guess near in the end), when cowboy's mother talking to cityboy, something like "I know when you packed your life from a city to move to this ranch, you have already planned a way out if this doesn't work out, but I hope, now you have your answer already", something like that
That's all I can remember. Please excuse me for my babbling, but it's much appreciated if anyone has an idea about this book.
Thanks in advance.v
