I know there was a place to post mm books you were missing in a thread but I don’t know how to find it. Sorry if this is the wrong place to do this.
I’m looking for 3 books.

FOUNDThe first is actually a short story. I THINK it was released in a like, book where many short stories are out together like Megan Derr does, but it could be stand alone. it is also very close to a Megan Derr short story but that one involves a lot of other pairings including one with woman and is not quite right. IDK if Megan wrote this one, too. This one is about, I forgot the name, but he basically makes soul bond pairings and can override a bond already in place if he sees a fated match between two people (as he does in this short story). I believe he has a golem (?) that he has on call to protect him when he calls....in exchange for sex. an arrangement that had worked before. in this story, I believe he meets his mate, and I think there’s something like he’s not supposed to have one because of his calling (job). A distinctive thing is that while fending this guy off at I think a ball, he sees a link that is really strong but about to die between two men, so he kinda ignores his mate and grabs the first strangers hand and drags him to the other guy and says the words to bind them together. the first man was protesting, the second man was stunned silent. After it is done, the man said he already had a bond. Our MC says Not anymore he just overrode it as is his duty, and at some point he says this was the last chance and if he hadn’t acted now the pair would have been lost to each other forever. The woman the man was bonded too is FURIOUS and tries to attack him which is when he calls the golem. Then his new mate gets pisses when he learns about now he owes the golem a favor. Anyway the two men he bonded are actually happy because they were in love for like 100 years but couldn’t be together and now they were. they do not have their own story sadly, as their love story is more compelling than the MCs. also the world building in this story is amazing and it’s tragic there’s not more of it, or more people using this idea #imjustsaying

FOUND. The second book might also be a short story. I remember even less. There’s a vampire who goes around doing idr what. I think he spies his mate in the hallway, the problem is he’s supposed to pair him with another guy, The guy he just had sex with. (Or I have it back words. The guy he has sex with is his but as he’s walking the hallway he sees the matching aura or something to a man in the hallway and has to dutifully put them together.) anyway he’s butthurt that neither man is his and runs off to fix a problem in the demon realm with a demon and too many children. Time flows different so like 2 days or so there is like a month back home. His men have been going pissed and crazy waiting for him and dont let him self pity himself anymore but complete their trio. (this could actually be the one where he’s not allowed to have a bond or both idk) (theyre all so similar it’s no wonder I can’t tell the details apart let alone find them)

The third IS a novel FOR SHIZZLES. It’s two cops, an alpha and a beta pretending omega, cause he wants to be a cop. They’re partners and maybe in love but haven’t done anything about it. Long time friends for sure. I think by the end one stays a cop and the other has a job change maybe after an injury like getting shot. Anyway his “beta” partner goes into heat unexpectedly for dramatic plot reasons and gets pregnant by his partner (or maybe not the first time idr if the guy was consent respecting the first time the timeline is fuzzy but basically it’s an alpha cop his “beta” friend partner and an unexpected pregnancy and angst)

Bless you!! You have no idea!! You are correct in that they are the same book (funny how my brain could not quite remember this. I thought it was possible but I also dismissed it from past times when I thought two books were 1 and was wrong). Anyway. I’ve been looking for over a year for this book and you have returned it to me. Thank you. I don’t know how it got lost, but I checked all my amber kell books that I have, more than once, and the closest one I found was that other match making one I hated with the queen and the unsuitable MC who deserved better (the only amber kell story i cannot stand). That’s why I thought I was going crazy when I thought it was an amber kell book. I have no idea how I couldn’t find it, given that I searched all her books I had and her goodreads page multiple times. Just one of those things I guess!!! Thank you SO bloody much!

And the FANTASTIC thing is is just as good to reread and even better than (bc of my faulty memory XD) I remember!!!!!

While I have this thread here I might as well ask about another mm book I am looking for. It’s set in a world with dragon shifters, and I think one MC (this boss) is a dragon and his assistant is a human. The assistant I’m pretty sure is a red head. The dragon knows that’s his mate (i think) but won’t claim him for whatever stupid “noble” reasons they always make up. Anyway he takes his assistant to this island, and it’s like surrounded by clouds—it’s remarkably similar to the Kiki Burrelli dragon series and yet I’ve read those bios and the books themselves multiple times and it’s none of them. Anyway the island is hidden and he takes his assistant with him but the assistant is done waiting, but then the dragons like NO ONE TOUCHES MY MATE BUT ME and I don’t remember the plot although I’m sure there was intrigue and angst outside relationship problems. But basically red head assistant to a dragon, both in love but not talking about it, on an island that’s hidden, and the dragon was there by invite. It is 100% not Golden Dragon, Diamond Dragon, Emerald Dragon, Onyx Dragon series (The Jeweled Kings Curse I think is the series name) although it could potentially be another Kiki burrelli book that uses that universe, except I feel like I scoured EVERY. SINGLE. Kiki book and have not found it so I’m at a total loss. Red head assistant. Stubborn dragon refusing to claim his mate. Island vacation. Sand and semi private hut residences. No one else will have his mate but him.
