Hello
I use Mobilism frequently for downloading books but haven't perused much else outside of e-books. I was surprised and pleased to find a section for "family" but am curious about the name. Why is it limited to Lesbian and MM (an acronym I'd never heard before until finding it here by the way)? I guess I'm just accustomed to GLBT but perhaps the Lesbian/MM terms are norms when referring to literature..? Another question, is this section only for book discussions? Or is it open for film, etc..Sorry to have so many newbie questions or if these have already been answered somewhere...if so, maybe you can point me in the right direction...
Thanks,
Blaire

The discussion forum in general was revamped to encompass the most popular of genres available. The title given to any one of them wasn't intended to limit the scope of discussion to only those but for anyone to be able to find a group to chime in on and broaden it so yes the GLBT genre is included in this area.

As for films they can be relevant. Outside of posting them in movie discussion, discussing the adaptations of books into film appears beneficial here. It's a discussion forum. Feel free to use it how you see fit. If it doesn't we will move it to the appropriate section and all is well.

A lot of the MM here are written by women for women, not necessarily gay men. I think it's a romance alternative because of there's no damsel in distress or tropes that get very tired very quickly in regular romance. I guess it's the Western version of "yaoi". It's really more erotica with plot maybe?

Whereas LGBT fiction is more story telling and less erotic.
