As of right now, I'd have to say The Hunger Games. I've only read Divergent, I think I'm just going to wait for the third book to come out, then re-read the first book and continue on with the series.

Hunger Games. ( Book 1 ) i thought is the best.

This is a tough question! I prefer the Divergent series but I can explain why I love it more than The Hunger Games... However I can't wait to see Catching Fire, the movie!

It's hard to choose, I love both and I'm waiting to read Allegiant. One thing I know for sure is that I would hate if Allegiant had an epoligue similiar to Mockingjay.

After reading both series i have to say i much prefer Divergent I just loved four! can't wait now for allegiant and the movie next year!

Jeez I take it all back! NOW I want an epilogue just as Mockingjay!

Sorry, but I'm new here & I'm trying to find the Divergent Trilogy in ePub format (for my iPhone), so far I've found the first 2 books, but the formatting seemed to be a bit corrupted. Can someone link me to them or point me in the direction? I've searched and didn't find much.

I have only read the first book of Divergent so far, but I found it to be far superior to The Hunger Games. The characters are more realistic, the love story isn't as forced.... I just felt it to be a better, more well thought out book. If you enjoyed both series, you might also enjoy Quarantine by Lex Thomas. Also a trilogy, but only the first two books are out.

I recommend everyone reads the WHOLE series of both these books before making a decision... The ending of the Divergent trilogy is earth shattering, life changing. It broke my heart but at the same time it completed the series in such a way that you know the story is complete.

The hunger games broke my heart too but not in this drastic of a way. I chose Divergent

Both the first books were way amazing but I liked Divergent better
Both the second books sucked...Insurgent more than Catching Fire
& the last books I haven't read Allegiant yet but Mockingjay was really bad
So I think THG wins Divergent

Hunger Games for me. Divergent series were great until I finished reading the last book.

So I read the last book of Divergent and now I can say for sure that Hunger Games wins. I hated the ending on Divergent even if it was sort of good.

I liked both series and was disappointed by the ending of both of series but I have to pick the Hunger Games.

After having read Allegiant, I can safely say Hunger Games is the better series.

Both were very good, but I vote Divergent! Of course the suspense was part of the fun for me, since I read the first book soon after it's release and had to wait for each new installment. I read The Hunger Games trilogy after it was completely out, and happily ate it up, but it isn't quite the same as waiting a year for the next. The waiting adds something for me, and keeps the story in my head for longer.
