Well to be fair, I've never read or seen the Harry Potter books or movies. I want to... some day. I just feel like I totally missed that wave of popularity.

Book to movies are such a hit or miss. The Twilight books were fantastic but the movies were TERRIBLE! Of course the movies did get a little better as they got more popular but I think it was bad from the beginning. With that being said, I am so SO impressed at the book to movie adaption of The Hunger Games. They followed the story line and even the dialogue to a T. I was so impressed that 80% of the lines in the movie came directly from the book.

I also liked The City of Bones movie but it was a better book than it was movie. The cast was a little "off" in the movie, as in it didn't quite fit my imagination of the characters.

Only the weak minded refuse to be influenced by literature

I am going to agree with Rachael. I loved the hunger games books and i love the movies. The hunger games is one of the very few book adaptions i can honestly say has stayed so true to its book counterpart! Also want to add the lord of the rings trilogy was awsome :)

It's way better than the first. Definitely one of my favorites.

Hunger Games, by far.

Vampire Academy also had a decent and watchable adaptation, and I'm awaiting to see if Divergent will be faithful.

Harry potter beats out any YA book turned movie. All the HP movies were extremely interesting. I loved the books also.

I think Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban was really good- true to the book yet stands on its own as an excellent movie. Catching Fire-definitely, which is surprising, since the first movie was a huge disappointment to me. I also enjoyed the good old Neverending Story film adaptation.

Catching Fire (Hunger Games #2) is the best movie adaptation for me because it really follows the book. The next one would be Vampire Academy :D
