Uh.... Don't listen to that. Your two options are to use the Xposed module I mentioned, which works with the most recent Tinder versions (and much less fucking around once it's setup and working) OR you can use the old method which requires Fake GPS by Lexa and only works with that older version of Tinder.
If you want to try what that other guy suggested, feel free, but it sounds very finicky to me. I mean... find somewhere without service, do some trick, don't move your phone and wait for a while? Yeah, I'll pass and just use a method that I know works without any of that extra BS.
