I'm looking for a root program for Xiaomi Mi Max 2.

A one click root program - root script, or whatever they're called.
Not Kingroot though. I've tried Kingroot on an LG G3, it worked but when I uninstalled it the root was gone with it and I had to do it all over again.
Some guy Avicohh did a root script for the LG G3 and it worked perfectly.

I'm looking for a similar root script for Mi Max 2 but I keep finding some pretty complicated methods that require removing my bootloader first (I don't know what that is), flashing ROMS, TWRP (I also don't know what that is), active internet connection, etc.
And of course others recommend using Kingroot and another program called One Click Root which I have to buy in order to use it.

Any idea if there is something easier out there? Just those 3-4 steps (connect cable, debugger mode) and after 2-3 restarts to have it rooted?

Do you mean Towelroot?

It seems like a KingRoot clone to me. What happens if I root my phone and then uninstall the apk? Will I lose the root along with it?
Besides I don't think it's gonna work for my Mi Max 2. Towelroot is designed to root Android 4.4 KitKat. Mine is a 7.1.1 Nougat.

There are 2 programs alike, kingroot is one n the other is kingoroot. Kingo has the one click root. As for twrp is a program that works inside your phone when you want to install a different system on your phone. Example: i have a s4 galaxy in which i used kingoroot to root my phone then i was able

To install twrp. You have to press power button, home and volume all together when you first power your phone. You will see your phone logo flash that is when u let go and will be able to see internal phone files that are hidden.

Ive use kingo root for lg phones, samsung phones n tablets and a few other devices works great. As far as i know if you remove apk your root will be removed even though some files stay behind on device in case you reinstall

Like I said I'm not looking for Kingroot, or any of it's clones. I've tried it before, it required internet connection and when my phone was rooted and tried to uninstall the app, the root was gone with it.

I'm looking for a root script method to root my Xiaomi Mi Max 2... if there is any!

Just don`t uninstall the app that you use to root your phone.

Anyways have you requested Xiaomi to unlock your bootloader. It is important.
