It has been a few years since I needed to use this and forgot the name of the app.

You used to be able to run this app, it would detect your location and provide you with a map of nearby WIFI and the passwords for them that they have gotten submitted by other users.

What was the name of the app? Is there one like this still available?

You have to search for open wifi, there are lots of apps available on play store. Personally i am using this.
