I personally use the open-source "DVD" app downloadable via github. It`s an app version of YouTube-dl so it downloads the actual audio and video files (gives you choices too) without compressing them even further. The other Downloaders convert and compress an already compressed file even further which does show up in complicated orchestral work as constant crackling.Rahulartlover wrote:I use SnapTube and I love it. Yeah I've noticed that with all the Android and online interfaces. The problem with the GitHub solution is that I need to be able to do this on the go with my phone, so that's not an option. It's a shame that it hasn't been turned into an app yet, because I agree that the conversion thing decreases the audio quality.

dvdhttps://github.com/yausername/dvd is an excellent open source app based on the very powerful youtube-dl project that also supports 100s of other websites, if anyone needs an app on mobile I highly recommend it!

I just tried the app you mentioned. For me SnapTube was much easier and more convenient. Maybe it`s because I`m used to it.Blaithin569 wrote:I personally use the open-source "DVD" app downloadable via github.
