I am looking for resources that could help me give my first steps in the modding scene of Android apps. For some background about me, I am a backend engineer, and I have done some Android development in the past, so I am not entirely alien to the world of programming and engineering. Are there any resources any of you would recommend? I am interested in reverse engineering an application and removing ads, that is my goal for a starter project.
I have read a few bits online and apparently the tooling needed is JADX for decompiling, patching with APKLab, and then recompiling and resigning with keytool. I got this from a guide from 2021 I found online. Is there anything else I'm missing?
